Sisterhood
A pillar of Mosaic Law Congregation our Sisterhood supports our religious school, provides a lovely space in our beautiful Judaica Shop, and helps meet the needs of our congregants. Thank you so very much for your support and donations that we can continue being a warm and inviting part of our synagogue community.
One of our vital programs is the Meal of Condolence which provides solace and support for congregational members in mourning. Please consider becoming part of this mitzvah making for those in need.
Sisterhood members are also actively involved in our Nechama (community of caring) program, which critically serves our synagogue. When you need us, we are there.
Our chapter is part of the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism (WLCJ), which through the Torah Fund, provides financial support for United Synagogue's seminaries and scholarships for rabbis,
cantors and religious school administrators. Your membership dues support top-notch regional and national programming. Be sure to check out the website of our region, North by Northwest (NxNW), and that of our national organization, for a myriad of helpful resources.
Israel remains in the forefront of our hearts at Mosaic Law Congregation. Our Sisterhood stands firmly and proudly with the people and the State of Israel. We support the Jewish homeland and do not engage in politics. After October 7, we contributed to Magen David Adom, Friends of the IDF (FIDF), and the Sacramento Jewish Federation’s campaign for Ashkelon, our sister city in Israel. We also helped sponsor the deputy counsel from StandWithUs as a speaker in KOH's Perspectives and Possibilities series.
Here is your opportunity to develop meaningful friendships and become a more integrated member of our wonderful community. See the weekly MLC Scroll for "Shalom Sisterhood." It's your way to see what we're doing and join in. Each spring, our members create an inviting and beautiful Shabbaton, and we hope you join us for this lovely and spiritual weekend.
We invite you to become involved in our beloved Mosaic Law Congregation communal life through Sisterhood.
