High Holiday Greeting, 5785
It’s hard to believe that we’ve reached another year.
Oy, what a year it has been! Our lives have been permanently scarred by October 7th and its aftermath. At the same time, we've come closer as a Mosaic Law Congregational family just as Jews around the world have done amidst such extreme trauma.
This past year, we created the Dor Hadash initiative, setting up Havurot and opportunities to build community. We also had robust educational programming, including on demonstrating Jewish Pride during harrowing times. Moreover, we hosted major community events, including a Yom HaAtzmaut celebration and vigil to mourn the six hostages who were brutally murdered by Hamas. All these ended with expressions of hope for a brighter future.
As we enter into the new year, may we find personally meaningful ways to increase our Jewish connections. Let's utilize this extended holiday period to do just that and strengthen our ties to our precious Mosaic Law Congregation family.
Karina, Ariela, Leora, Honey and I extend to you and yours a Shana Tova U’Metuka
for 5785, a year of happiness, health, and most importantly, peace.
