Sunday, 24 October – USA Departure
· Depart Sacramento on overnight flight to Israel
Monday, 25 October – When You Come Into the Land (Deut 26:1)
· Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport to be met by your ITC representative
· Transfer to Eilat by domestic flight
· Hotel check-in and welcome dinner
· Overnight: Royal Beach Hotel, Eilat
Tuesday, 26 October – The Delights of Eilat
· Board a luxury touring yacht at the Eilat marina for a leisurely cruise and lunch on the Red Sea. Snorkeling equipment is available for those who would like to get “up close and personal” with the most exquisite coral reefs and tropical fish to be found in the world
· Spend the remainder of the day and evening at leisure sampling the delights of Eilat, including beautiful beaches, your hotel’s spa facilities, the new “Kings City” biblical theme center, water-skiing, paddle boats, wind-surfing, banana boats, a swim with the dolphins, or scuba- and “snuba”-diving to get up close and personal with Red Sea coral and fish (extra charges apply for some of these activities)
· Overnight: Royal Beach Hotel, Eilat
Wednesday, 27 October – The Wonders of Petra
· Early departure for Petra to explore the amazing decorated red rock formations of the ancient Nabateans. Enter Jordan at the Arava crossing and travel to the Red Rose City by bus (approx. 2.5 hours). Tour its treasury, the Roman theatre, and the impressive caves and rock formations of this Nabatean City
· Proceed to Amman for hotel check-in
· Dinner at the hotel
· Overnight: Amman Marriot Hotel, Amman Jordan
Thursday, 28 October – Mount Nebo
· Early morning departure for Mt. Nebo, the burial site of Moses
· Cross the border into Israel at the Allenby Bridge
· Ascent to Jerusalem
· Take in a breathtaking view of the Temple Mount from the Mount of Olives
· Stumble across many authentic archeological finds in a hands-on dig through archeological matter that has been dumped into Emek Tzurim from under the Temple Mount
· Hotel check-in followed by a free evening in Jerusalem (dining suggestions to be provided)
· Overnight: David Citadel Hotel, Jerusalem
Friday, 29 October – Jerusalem of Old
· Group may split: In the Kotel Tunnels, walk alongside the Kotel’s massive foundation stones OR Take a walking tour along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher; see the Coptic Village, Armenian Quarter
· Tour David’s City, the most ancient section of Jerusalem, built by King David, including the recently excavated Spring Tunnel
· Free time for lunch (on one's own) and shopping in the Jewish Quarter or in Machaneh Yehuda
· Kabbalat Shabbat at the Western Wall (Kotel)
· Delicious Shabbat dinner at the hotel
· Overnight: David Citadel Hotel, Jerusalem
Shabbat, 30 October – Shabbat in Jerusalem
Parashat Hayei Sarah
· Shabbat services at the Great Synagogue, up the street from our hotel
· Shabbat lunch at the hotel
· Spend the day at leisure enjoying the special atmosphere of a Jerusalem Shabbat
· Overnight: David Citadel Hotel, Jerusalem
Sunday, 31 October – Those Who Made a Difference
· Visit Lifeline for the Old, a moving crafts workshop that employs Jerusalem elderly. Enjoy shopping for unique hand-crafted Judaica items in their store
· Visit the new state-of-the art Memorial Museum and the Children’s Memorial at Yad Vashem
· Visit Mount Herzl, Israel’s National Military Cemetery and the multi-media Herzl Exhibit, where the Father of Modern Zionism and his untiring quest are “brought to life” before your eyes (latter, if available)
· Evening: Attend The Night Spectacular, the fabulous new sound and light show at the Tower of David Museum, followed by free time for dinner (on one’s own) at the new Mamilla Mall
· Overnight: David Citadel Hotel, Jerusalem
Monday, 1 November – Freedom Fighters or Fanatics?
· Depart for the Dead Sea Region
· Ascend Masada by cable car. Tour this impressive excavation and discuss the terrible dilemma faced by its Jewish population during Roman times
· Spend the remainder of today at a Dead Sea resort hotel enjoying its spa facilities, lunch, and the amazing Dead Sea
· Enjoy a biblical dinner in a tent and the hospitality of Abraham at Eretz Beresheet
· Overnight: David Citadel Hotel, Jerusalem
Tuesday, 2 November – Peers in Israel
· Morning tour of the ultra-Orthodox Meah Shearim neighborhood
· Meet with Israeli peers in our Partnership 2000 community of Hof Ashkelon, including lunch (to be provided by P2K; cost not included in tour program)
· Continue to the modern Hebrew city of Tel Aviv for hotel check-in followed by a free evening
· Overnight: David Intercontinental Hotel, Tel Aviv
Wednesday, 3 November – Foundations of the Modern State
· At Independence Hall, relive Ben Gurion’s moving declaration of the State
· Climb down into the amazing underground, pre-State bullet factory built by the Haganah under the noses of the British at the Ayalon Institute
· Learn about Israel’s struggle for independence at the Etzel Museum
· Explore the alleyways, art galleries, and market stalls of Old Jaffa, once the gateway to Eretz Yisrael
· Return to the hotel for final packing
· Farewell dinner at Café Kappish, served by deaf waiters who will teach you sign language during your meal
· Depart for the airport
Thursday, 4 November – A Temporary Departure
· Return to USA

Should anyone wish to use American Express Rewards Points or Award Miles, please contact the airline directly to purchase your flight ticket. Should anyone desire to make their own travel arrangements on different flights, you are permitted to do so, but please plan on arriving in Tel Aviv at the same time our group flight expects to arrive (same with departure on Nov. 4th). Those arriving at different times will be responsible for the cost of their airport transfer. Those who desire to extend their visit to Israel and return on a later date departure, ITC is pleased to assist in hotel arrangements and the change of return flights. Those who wish to depart Israel for Greece or Europe before returning to the USA, may do so on their own. Please let Donny know of your final travel arrangements.

* Please note that this amount covers a basic recommended minimum tip for the guide, bus driver, and meal service staff at restaurants for the number of days the group will be in Israel. Travelers should feel free to add to this amount when in Israel, if they are so moved.
Important Information For All Travelers:
Please be aware that you may not fly to a foreign country if your passport has fewer than 6 months remaining. Be sure that your passport, and those of all members of your traveling group, has an expiration date that is at least six months later than your day of departure. If this is not the case, please take immediate steps to renew your passport!
